Dealing with the Media in Emergency Situations - Program Contents

Hazardous materials can be found in thousands of workplaces.  Because they are as dangerous as they are common, OSHA has mandated that anyone working with these substances receive comprehensive HAZMAT training. 

As defined in OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) regulations, the amount and type of HAZMAT training that employees receive varies with their degree of involvement with hazardous materials. 

"HAZWOPER: Dealing With The Media In Emergency Situations" teaches employees the importance of a good relationship with the media, and how to deal with the media during emergencies.
